MPC Gives Back
MPC Containment: Giving Back to the Chicago Community and Communities around the World
In business since 1920, MPC has been an active member of the Chicago community for many years. As our organization has grown, the MPC Group LLC companies, including MPC Containment and Putterman Athletics, have reached within and outside Chicago in an effort to give back to those in need. MPC’s mission is to build relationships beyond merely the commercial, and to offer our service and support where we might best have an impact.
In 2010 MPC Containment played a critical role in supporting the clean-up effort in the Gulf. The company halted much of its operations so that our staff could focus on producing hundreds of thousands of feet of oil boom in just a few short weeks of time. Across the year MPC serves the local community through donations, food drives and volunteer activities. Together the MPC team participates in a company-sponsored Volunteer Program which rewards employees based on the number of hours of community service they perform annually.
In memory of the late Alan Berman, the brainchild of our Putterman Athletics division at MPC, our organization has begun a fund in his name to support the athletic departments and organizations in neighborhoods needing a helping hand.
